Daniel has nearly two decades of experience developing voices and is capable of teaching at a master level for all styles of singing. His students are having success at every opportunity both working professionally and gaining entrance to competitive training programs. Daniel’s students are professionally active in NY, Chicago, LA, and London and he has helped his younger singers gain entrance to nearly every major vocal program in the country.

Never one to be satisfied, Daniel took on his training via a very different path and sought to study with master teachers. This training, lasting nearly a decade, not only included rigorous study of his own voice but an in depth intensive in how to teach where Daniel observed countless hours of lessons, had his own lessons critiqued by other teachers, and had student by student guidance when needed. This process resulted in a very unique skill set that allows him to quickly identify and then address vocal issues, even ones that other teachers can’t, or think aren’t possible to, fix.

FAQs

What styles do you teach?

Opera, Musical Theatre (all styles), pop, rock, jazz, and pretty much anything else. My job is to develop the voice. When this is done correctly then learning to sing in different styles, while different, is relatively easy.

Where do you teach?

Home base is in Bloomington, IL which is where I teach the majority of my lessons. I also frequently travel to Chicago as well as NYC. These studios are maintained through online lessons in between visits.

What level of student do you teach?

Most of my students are either young professionals or professional signers but that doesn’t mean I turn away beginners. I truly enjoy having the opportunity to develop a clean foundation.

Do you work with people who have voice pathology?

Yes. I have rehabilitated quite a few voices with various issues none of which required further medical intervention. I also have been fortunate enough to work with several voices diagnosed with Spasmodic Dysphonia who came to me at various stages of treatment. They were all able to forgo further medical treatment and have full use of their voices.

When is payment due and how do I pay you?

Payment is due at the end of each session. I am able to accept Venmo, Cash App, Credit/Debit cards, and Apple Pay. I will also accept checks but in general I don’t take cash.
